Growing up in a controlling and changing environment, art was a way to anchor myself to the fleeting moments of beauty as I sought to see beyond the ordinary. I attended private lessons and art school at Belhaven University, where I learned a process based approach to art, recognizing and pursuing connections, trusting and committing to the journey. These philosophies extended to my way of life. Intuition led me seven years ago to my spiritual home, a small island based in the Mariana’s Trench. It is here that I found inner peace and physical and spiritual healing after years of illness. I learned that the ancestors of this place had a profound ability to see beyond the ordinary, leading them to be loving, peaceful, and free people. I hold a deep commitment to my art, it serves as a spiritual practice; the paintings are a conduit of the healing energy and peace found right under the surface when we choose to be present and live in love; art as a balm for tired souls in a tumultuous world.
